The baseball team finished its regular season on a high note winning 2 of 3 over the weekend in defeating Limestone 10-zip on Friday, followed by a tough 6-5 loss to 4A state power Edwardsville on Saturday, and concluding the long weekend with a 10 to 5 win over Williamsville yesterday. Karter Marks got the ball rolling with a stellar shutout performance on the mound Friday, striking out 7 and walking no one in allowing only 3 hits. Wade Snyder provided the offensive punch with a home run and 3 RBI’s. Marks paced the offense on Saturday with 2 hits of his own, including a double, and yesterday it was Jackson Jenkins’ turn to shine with a 2-hit performance good for 2 RBI’s to give Carter Borah his varsity win on the mound as he stopped the Bullet rally in the 5th and went the rest of the way to keep them scoreless. Next up is regional play on Thursday at Lincoln where the Senators take on the Railers looking for revenge on their loss to them earlier this season.
Thank you for doing these all spring- so greatly appreciated!
